So you are wondering how to open Google Voice. The good news is that it's really easy! The bad news is that opening Google Voice on your iPhone is not as easy as opening a Gmail account. It's not difficult, but it does take some time and effort on your part.
When
you sign up for Google Voice, it comes in the form of a text or phone call. You
can use this same account to sign into the Google Hangouts platform. Hangouts
is essentially a messenger service that allows you to video chat with friends
who also have Google Voice. If you have a Google phone and a Gmail account,
then you already have Google Voice.
If
you don't already have Google Voice, you'll need to sign up for Google's other
services. There's a very simple way to do this. Go to the Google Hangouts
application and click on the "Create Phone Account" link. You'll be
prompted to choose a phone number to register with.
Once
you've established an account, you can begin using Hangouts. Open the app and
tap the menu at the top of the screen. Select "Google Hangouts" from
the list of services and select the Google+ icon. You will be prompted to log
in to your account. If you already have an account, you'll be prompted to
verify your email address and then create your Google Voice account.
Once
you've done that, all you have to do is complete your Google Hangouts
application and start talking to your friends. Unfortunately, Google Voice is
not yet available for iPhone users. Google representatives have said that the
program is still in testing stages, so it's not uncommon to see an error
message stating that you can't use Google Voice on an iPhone. There are other
methods of signing up for Google Voice on your iPhone, however. A quick search
on the Internet should reveal several methods.
Google
Voice also provides the ability to make calls using your existing mobile phone
number. To do this, you need to activate Google Voice on your mobile phone.
Next, you will enter the phone number that you wish to make calls on into
Google Voice's online call setting. Once the feature is enabled, you can simply
touch the send button and have your call come through to your Google Voice account.
While
it's still unclear how Google plans to monetize this service, there are a few
things we do know. Google is currently testing a service called Google Me,
which will let people store conversations on their Google+ page. Google
Hangouts is also letting users rent out space within the Hangouts application
for video chat. Google also has plans to bring Hangouts to the iPad and
possibly even the Kindle.
If
you're wondering how to open Google Voice, it's simply a matter of going to
Google and clicking on "Google." From there, you'll be able to start
interacting with others just like you would on any other type of phone. And
just like any other phone, you can even go the extra step and learn more about
Google Voice by registering for Google's email service.
Google
Voice isn't meant for long-term use. Google plans to eventually roll out more
updates to this service. Until then, however, if you'd like to talk on your
phone like a real person, Google Voice is your best option.
One
of the coolest features of Google Voice is Hangouts. The application allows you
to make video and voice call from your phone. With the click of a button, you
can call your friends and family while on the go. Plus, if you happen to have a
free Google Hangouts account, you can invite your friends over to have a video
chat. Now that's convenience at its best.
One
of the biggest questions people ask about how to open Google Voice is whether
or not it will be more expensive than other wireless phones. Fortunately, the
answer is a resounding yes. Since Google already has a major platform on which
to operate, there's little reason why they couldn't charge extra for features
such as Google Hangouts. In fact, Hangouts is set to rival the rates of Skype
and Vonage. This should come as no surprise to anyone, especially with all of
the competition that is occurring in this space.
There
are several other interesting features on Google Voice that aren't yet
available. For example, if you use Google Maps, Google Voice will also let you
access maps through the phone, just like any other VoIP provider. Google also
offers a free e-mail service and offers AdWords ads for display on your voice
broadcast. These two features could make your voice broadcast an even more
lucrative commodity.
